Handover at the helm of enercast
Co-founder and longtime CEO Thomas Landgraf steps down from the executive team of enercast GmbH, a high-tech start-up which has grown into a leading player in applied artificial intelligence and power forecasting for renewable energy.
Going forward, the company will be headed by the two remaining managing directors, Dr. Henning Schulze-Lauen and Bernd Kratz. Dr. Schulze-Lauen joined enercast last summer as chief operating officer and oversees the further growth of the SaaS product business. Mr. Kratz, co-founder and head of professional services, is responsible for the company’s success in mining and other essential industries.
Chairman of the advisory board, Dr. Andreas Radmacher, comments: “During the last seven years, Thomas has created an impressive growth story and successfully positioned our company as a market leading in power forecasting. The launch of our new product generation in February 2018 now enables us to build on a solid foundation and tap into new growth potentials with a focus on scalability and profitability.”
Mr. Landgraf will stay close to enercast as both shareholder and advisor. “We had seven exciting years – with growth rates reaching 70%, pioneering work in the digital transformation of renewable energy, and a fantastic team”, says Mr. Landgraf. “I look forward to continuing to support enercast in word and deed along this path, as I am convinced that the intriguing combination of new energy sources with leading-edge software technology is only the beginning of a long success story.”
