Minister of State Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus visits enercast

Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus, Hessian Minister for Digital Strategy and Development, visited enercast GmbH in Kassel today as part of her summer trip. She informed herself about the development of enercast into a leading technology company for applied artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of renewable energy and saw a live demonstration of the current status of enercast products on the enercast Portal.

enercast Managing Director Dr. Henning Schulze-Lauen used the opportunity to give the Minister of State feedback on the upcoming update of the digital strategy for Hesse and emphasized the importance of digital transformation for the energy transition. “For renewable energy, digitalization is not an optional tool, but a mandatory prerequisite for their successful operation and marketing. This should be a separate field of action in which companies from Northern Hesse in particular have a lot to contribute. For small, agile companies like enercast, this opens up great opportunities. However, these opportunities can only be exploited if digital transformation is driven forward with pragmatism and small companies are not disadvantaged by bureaucratic formalisation”, Dr. Schulze-Lauen notes. In view of the positive and interested reaction of the Minister, he was optimistic that the state’s digital transformation strategy could be even more strongly developed in this direction.

The visit was marked by a lively discussion, despite the special circumstances of the COVID 19 pandemic.
